Verified consumer maintenance and repair procedures, written to ASD-STE100.
This is a repository of consumer maintenance, repair and troubleshooting procedures. Every page is a rendering of a structured record: the steps, the hazards, the tools and every specification are stored as data, checked, and then published.
Two things make a page here different from the same topic elsewhere. The language is controlled, so a step means one thing and only one thing. And every number is traced to a manufacturer document, a published standard, or a government safety authority, with the date it was read.
How this repository works
Procedures are written to ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English, the controlled language used for aircraft maintenance documentation. Safety information follows the ANSI Z535 conventions: signal words, colours and placement are standardised, and a hazard notice always appears before the step it protects.
A value that cannot be traced to a first-party source is never guessed. It is printed as an instruction to consult your equipment documentation, in a colour that makes the gap obvious. That is the honest answer, and it is more useful than a plausible number that does not apply to your model.
Every correction is recorded in a public log with the date and the reason. Read the standards page for the full method.
